Education & Experience
I have a BA in English from Truman State University (the Ivy League of the Midwest) in Kirksville, Missouri. As a student I spent over a year working for Truman's university press (then Thomas Jefferson University Press) as a copy editor and typesetter learning the basics of the publishing industry and the Chicago Manual of Style. Since then I have done freelance copy editing, typesetting, and proofreading for a number of clients, including academic publishers and individuals who needed help with their manuscripts.

Bio
I grew up in southern Missouri in the lush and green Ozark Mountains. After attending Truman, I lived in Manhattan, Kansas for two years doing both freelance and part-time work in publishing and communications. In 2001 I moved to the Kansas City area and began a seven-year stint in the mortgage business as a loan processor. I moved to Colorado's Front Range in 2005. I now work from home on a variety of freelance and business ventures.
